Carter: Arthur Lawson, 78, of Truro, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 6, 2009, on Hwy 102 at Stewiacke, as the result of a tragic motor vehicle accident. Born in Brookfield, he was a son of the late Leo and Ethel (Waller) Carter. Arthur was the former owner of Carter Graphics Truro for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Truro Lions Club and a member of the First United Church Truro. He was an avid gardener and bird watcher. He is survived by his wife the former Kathleen Frances Moore (Forrester); daughters, Kathleen Hull (David), Truro; Tara, Halifax; brothers, Gerald (Joan), Halifax; Byard, Truro. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Wilfred, Ronald; sister, Barbara. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, December 11, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, with Rev. Judith Perry officiating. Interment at a later date in the Terrace Hill Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation or to the Truro SPCA.
