EBERLE Christian Andrew Eberle was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan in 1932. He was a good-hearted, humble, hard-working, generous man whose practical acts of love and affection touched many people during the 888 months and 88 days of his life until our gracious Lord intervened at around the fifth hour of the sixth Sabbath in this century's seventh year and rewarded him the gift of His eternal present to prevent Chris from having to suffer more than he could bear in what had become a painful bout with cancer. We who are fortunate enough to have known and loved him will always remember his warm and gentle toughness, his neighbourly manner along with his shy, but open sincerity. Chris raised a very high standard for tireless devotion to excellent craftsmanship and trades practice throughout the twenty-seven years he spent as a drywall contractor in Kamloops from 1964-1991. Although he will be dearly missed by all of us who had the immense pleasure to have known him well, comfort for our grief and sadness comes in the knowledge that until we join with him again in that unbroken circle of eternal love, he will live on through our memories of how he showed his caring through innumerable kindnesses. Family members who passed on before Chris include his parents, John and Anne, and four brothers: Twins who died at birth, Conrad and Allen. Chris's passing is mourned by his wife, Nathalia Eberle and their children, Marianne and Joe Wourms, Roger and Helen Eberle, Blain, John and Mark Eberle and by Chris and Nathalia's eleven grandchildren; by his siblings and their families, Bernard, Josephine, Ralph, Karl and Walter; and by his mother-in-law Mary Lokken, her children Leslie and Linda, and their families; and also by the many friends Chris made during his life. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from the chapel of Fischer's Funeral Services on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Malcolm McKenzie officiating.
