JEANNE KATHLEEN DREFKO "When tomorrow starts without me Don't think we're far apart For every time you think of me I'm right there in your heart" It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanne Kathleen Drefko (nee Taylor) of Kamloops, British Columbia, on Friday, February 9th, 2007. Jeanne was 73 years of age. Jeanne is survived by best friend Samuel Drefko, daughter Bernadette (Mark) and children Kris (Vanessa and great grandson Kristian), Kevin (Shawna and great grandson Sheldon) and Meghan (Brice and great grandson Malcolm); daughter Lee-Ann (Doug) and children Dylan (Michelle), Brendan, Jared (Dani), Brittany (Norm and fourth great grandchild due to make an appearance in early April 2007) and Sierra; daughter Colleen (Garry) and children Derek and Kyle; and brother Gordon Taylor (Gayle). Jeanne was born in Saskatchewan on October 2, 1933. She met and married Samuel Drefko in 1952 and eventually settled in Kamloops, British Columbia, where she worked for School District #73 until her retirement in December of 1997. Jeanne's loving arms were always available for hugs and her heart was always open, whether she was mom, grama, grams, auntie, or friend. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street. Jeanne's ashes will be taken to North Portal, Saskatchewan, in the summer of 2007, where she will be laid to rest beside her mother and father. Jeanne's family would like to sincerely thank the nurses of 3 West in Royal Inland Hospital for taking care of her and her whole family during the time of her passing.
