Passed peacefully away on Monday, February 25, 2008 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, Joyce Chipman Hiscock of Gander, aged 77 years. She is predeceased by her husband Hubert; baby daughter Elizabeth; parents, Robert and Rebecca Chipman; brother Arthur; sisters: Ann (Carrigan) and Dorothy (Abbott) and brother-in-law Jim Carrigan. Left behind to celebrate her life and mourn her passing are four children: Colleen (Ken Stack), Fraser and Gary (Donna) of Gander and Gerald (Jeanette) of Spaniard's Bay; grandchildren: Robert, Scott, Amanda, Andrew and Katie; former daughter-in-law Maureen; brothers-in-law: Gerald Abbott, Spaniard's Bay, Albert Hiscock (Phyllis) and Gerald Hiscock (Helene) of Trinity; nieces and nephews; caregivers, especially Shirley Saunders and Pauline Summers; special friends Rosie and Eileen and a large circle of friends at both Gander and her birthplace, Spaniards Bay. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and celebration of her life was held on Wednesday, February 27th at St. Martin's Church, Gander.
