We, the family of Joseph Francis MacKenzie wish to express our sincere thanks to all for the kindness shown during Joseph's illness and passing on Nov. 28th, 2011. Your generosity, friendship and sympathy will never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone who offered their thoughts and prayers in person, through mass and sympathy cards, emails, online condolences, donations to various charities and sent food. Thanks to everyone who spent time with Joseph at home helping to make his final days a little easier for him. Thank you to everyone, who visited and spent time with us during the beautiful celebration of Joseph's life at St. Barra's Church, Christmas Island, Chant's Funeral Home and our home. Our sincere appreciation to Frs. P. Abbass, C. Donovan, J. MacNeil and F. Cameron for the heartfelt Funeral Mass and to the choir of St. Barra's Church for sharing the beautiful music. We would especially like to thank Scott MacKenzie and Helen MacDonald for the lovely guitar and fiddle music. Joseph always loved to listen to them playing their music. To Ron Curry for his breathtaking rendition of Amazing Grace. In my heart I could feel Joseph's pride in having his friends play such a musical tribute to him and he would have surely enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone, who did readings and to Joseph's grandchildren Joshua and Kaylynn, who presented the offertory gifts. Papa would have been so proud. Thank you to Joseph Tramble for the beautiful poem he wrote for his brother-in-law. Thanks to his brothers and son-in-law for being for being his pallbearers and the ladies of Christmas Island Fire Hall for providing a beautiful luncheon. Thank you to our family Dr. G. Myatt, doctors and nurses in the ICU, Palliative Care, VON and City Homemakers. Thanks to Diane, Anna, Margie and Mary Lucina; you are great cooks; Joseph and I enjoyed everything you made. To his brother Charles, who was always there with a helping hand you will always be in my prayers.
