CAISSIE, ÉLOI - (1932-2012) - Rogersville - At the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, February 26th, 2012, at the age of 79, passed away Éloi Caissie, residing at the Foyer Assomption of Rogersville. Born on December 19th, 1932, he was the son of the late Marcel Caissie and the late Justina Gallant. He is survived by one sister: Anita Richard (Ernest) of Rogersville and one brother: Léo Caissie (Gilberte) of Opasatika, ON. He is also survived by one godson: Léo Caissie of Pleasant Ridge as well as many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one niece: Jocelyne Richard (1978) and one nephew: Dusty Henderson (2009). He lived with and cared for his parents until they passed away. Before his retirement he worked in the woods and on the family farm. He had a strong passion for animals, especially horses. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing country songs.
Family will be receiving relatives and friends at the salon 'La Colombe', 11325, route 126, Rogersville, Tuesday, February 28th at 2pm. Funerals will be held at St-François-de-Sales RC Church of Rogersville on Wednesday, February 29th at 11am. Visiting hours: Tuesday, February 28th, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm and Wednesday, February 29th, from 9:30am until the departure for the funerals. Donations can be made at Fondation des amis du 3e âge INC. (Foyer Assomption) or at the Rogersville cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of ``La Colombe`` Funeral Cooperative Ltd, of Tracadie-Sheila.
