Peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, of Luella (Hickey) Bryanton Owen, formerly of Kensington, aged 92 years. Born in Darnley on Sept. 2, 1919, daughter of the late James and Annie (Abbott) Hickey. Wife of the late Gordon Bryanton and the late Montgomery Owen. Mother of Marilyn (Bill) Heffel, Kensington, and Bill (Doreen) Bryanton, Kensington. Grandmother of Oralie (Donald) MacKay, Marla (Neil) Murray, Betty Ann Bryanton (Gareth Lewellyn), Lori (Frank) Prospero and Sara Creamer. Great-grandmother to Edison, Cale, Reid, Hadyn, and Matthew. Sister of James Hickey Jr. and Myra Chadwick. Sister-in-law of Marion Hickey and Mary Hickey. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by sister Phyllis (Horace) Paynter; brothers Charles and Elmer Hickey; sisters-in-law Erma Hickey, Hazel Hawkinson, Florence Bryanton and Charlene Howatt; brothers-in-law Bill Chadwick, Edison Bryanton, Lorne Owen, Ralph (Jean) Owen and Kenneth (Mary) Owen. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. Funeral Thursday at the Kensington United Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Johnstone Branch #9 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6.
