CHURCH, Murray Gordon — 83, of Martock, Hants County, passed away February 19, 2012 at the QEII. He was born on July 25, 1928 on the Windsor Road. He is survived by grandson Myles and daughter-in-law Lisa, Martock. Murray is also survived by his sisters Margurerite Berringer, Lunnenburg, Clara (Ivan) Corkum, Windsor Road, Gladys Haug, Connecticut, USA and brother Harry (Virginia), Windsor Road and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by wife Ada (Collicutt), son Peter, father Wade, mother Anna, brothers Doug, Harold, Donald, Frank and sisters Alice and Ethel. He worked in Halifax for a number of years as a carpenter until he retired.  He enjoyed making apple tree ladders and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Visitation was held Tuesday Feb. 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home, Chester. The funeral service was Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. in St. Stephens Anglican Parish, Chester. Burial for Murray and son, Peter who passed away May 18, 2011 followed at Bayview Cemetery, Chester. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice.
