The death occurred at the Perrin's Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, of Anne Marie Howatt, of Notre Dame Street, Summerside, and formerly of Ottawa, Ont., aged 81 years. Born in Mont Carmel, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and Edna (Gallant) Richard. Beloved wife of the late Richard Howatt. Loving mother of Paula Howatt, Ont. and cherished grandmother of Shelly and Julie McNamara, Ont. Dear sister of Louise Richard, Summerside; Clarice Richard, Summerside; Gerry Richard, Summerside; Hermine (Robert) Stringer, North Granville; Albert (Rosmarie) Richard, Ont.; and the late René Richard. She will also be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Notre-Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, Ont.
