George Arnold Taylor, 95 of Sydney, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Church) Taylor.
George worked at Sydney Steel in the Benzol Plant for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time at his bungalow in St. Esprit, where he would go hunting and fishing with his brother, Tom.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Stephen) Manley, Northside East Bay; Denise Taylor, Sydney; son, Gregory Taylor, Toronto; grandchildren, Stephen, Sydney; Nicholas, Victoria, B.C.; George, Sydney and Maggie, Fredericton, N.B.; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ann (MacNeil); sisters, Alice and Nellie and brothers, Harry and Tom.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating.
