Passed peacefully away February 29, 2012 after a brief illness at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, age 81. Leaving to mourn her devoted and loving husband, Cornelius, of 61 years, and seven children: daughters Judy (Kieswetter) and Coleen Pieczewski (Ted); and sons Brian (Mary), Michael (Brenda), Con Jr. (Ann), John (Maxine), and Fr. Stephen. She will be sadly missed by her ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents William and Bridget Norcott, sister Jean (Whelan) and brother Michael. Also leaving to mourn six brothers: Bill (Marie), Jack, Edward, Gerald, Robert and Bernard; five sisters: Dorothy Kelly (Tom), Rosemarie Kavanagh (Colin), Doreen Swant (Gil), Agatha Udvari (Marty); special sister-in-law Alice Murrin and a large number of family and friends. Visitation at Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island, on Thursday, March 1st from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated by her son, Fr. Steve at St. Michael's Church, Bell Island, on Friday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Private family burial at a later date.
