Carol Elizabeth Wenzel 1943 - 2007 Our beloved Carol was a person of great selflessness, teaching us the importance of putting others before oneself. Her kindness and compassion was evident in all aspects of her life. A person who treasured family and extended family, Carol spent countless hours building a comfortable home where all were welcome. Her way was to encourage many with unbridled affection coupled with a strong faith in human nature and a good dose of humour. After a long and distinctive career, Carol enjoyed retirement in the company of her grandchildren, pets and among the flowers in her garden. Although she enjoyed travel, it was ever apparent that home was where her heart was. She is survived by her husband Wolfgang Wenzel, sons Manfred Wenzel of Amberg, Germany and Martin Lovsund of Mackenzie, B.C., daughters Christina Lovsund of Kamloops and Doris Wenzel of Mission, B.C., and three grandchildren. She also leaves her brothers Trevor Jones of Nanaimo, B.C. and Vance Jones of Courtenay, B.C. and sister Lois Watkin Jones of Kamloops. She was predeceased by her brother John Daniel Jones of Port Alberni, B.C. A Celebration of Carol's life will be held in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 21st, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Canon Jack Phelps officiating.
