DOROTHY FAY HUNGAR 1917-2007 On March 25, 2007 Mrs. Dorothy Fay Hungar of Kamloops, B.C. passed away at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of Charles and dear mother of Allen (Darlene) Hungar of Kamloops, John Hungar of Victoria, Ralph (Jeanne) Hungar of Logan Lake, Mary Dahr of Grande Prairie Alberta, grandchildren; Jason, Kimberly, Bradley, Alex, Danielle, Shannon, Karen and Ara; great grandchildren Hailey and JoDee. Predeceased by her brother Harley Walker of Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Dorothy Fay was born in March 1,1917 to happy and proud parents Pearl and John Walker. Dorothy had a happy childhood in Milton Nova Scotia. After WWII, she met her husband to be and Charles and Dorothy were married July 18,1946. In 1954 Dorothy, Charles and their four children moved to Kamloops, where they built a home, raised their children and have resided for 60 years. Dorothy loved the outdoors and enjoyed many hours fishing with Charlie. Dorothy loved her trips to Reno and Las Vegas and had a good relationship with Lady Luck. She enjoyed many happy hours with her quilting group friends, the empty nest church group, and was a life-time member of the United Church. Dorothy was a generous and caring person with a sense of humour that endeared her to all She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Pine Grove Lodge for their kind and loving care and Dr. Bishop for his excellent care and understanding. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Box 277 Station Main, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 5K6. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dawne Taylor officiating.
