Passed away peacefully after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Joyce Francis Lee (nee Hurley), age 72 years. Leaving to celebrate her life and mourn her loss, her husband of 48 years and best friend of 54 years, William; son Craig (Lori) and Meagan, her granddaughter whom she adored (she will never forget you), as well as sisters Anita (Doug) and Marcia along with nieces and nephews, and especially long-time close friend Cathy Chafe whose help during our difficult time has been selfless. It has been appreciated by all of us. Joyce was the long-time secretary at St. Patrick’s Hall School and well known for her involvement in bowling for over the last 50 years. Her smile, humor, outgoing personality and friendship will be missed by those who knew her and the courage and positive outlook she displayed admired. Special thanks to the nursing staff of 4NA, Dr. Kirstie Tompkins and Doctors Hickey, Sculley, Jones, LeDrew and LeGrow, whose care will never be forgotten and always appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Visitation from Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, March 2nd, 2012 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 from Caul’s Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No flowers please, donations in her memory to the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by her.
