Passed peacefully away at her residence in the presence of her loving family, February 29, 2012, Lucy McCarthy, age 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, William (1999), son, Joe (2008), sisters Mary and Jean, and brother, Gerald. Left with fond and loving memories, her children: Rose, William (Joan), Pearl, Agnes (Gerald), Lorraine (Paul), Sheila (Bob), Evelyn (Francis), Jerome, Patricia (Craig), Brenda, Sandra (Gary), Clyde (Sharon), Richard (Valerie), Barry (Bonnie), Bazil (Ann) and Craig (Danita); along with 35 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters: Rita, Agnes and Carmel; brothers: Nick, Mike and Edward; daughter-in-law, Mary; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, on Thursday from 3-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from Holy Family Parish, St. Thomas Line, on Saturday March 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Topsail.
