Steven MacLean
Steven Michael MacLean, age 46 of Merigomish, passed away unexpectedly February 29, 2012 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Angus Jr. and Joy (Mason) MacLean, New Glasgow.
Steven had been a resident of Merigomish all of his life. He was an adherent of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Merigomish. Steven enjoyed playing baseball with the Egerton Eagles, watching Nascar Races and was a Montreal Canadiens fan. He had been employed with Big 8 in New Glasgow for 14 years.
He is survived by his wife Vicki (Chapman), Merigomish; brothers, Barry MacLean, New Glasgow; Jeff (Lisa) MacLean, New Glasgow; sister Janice Greene (Blaine MacLean), Durham; nephews and nieces: Andrew, Logan, Jaiden, Karleigh, Natasha, Corey, Mike, John, Brianna, Dawson, Bailley, Madison, Noelle, Robbie, Lauren and Maggie, several cousins and his best friend Angus.
He was predeceased by grandparents Layton and Kay Mason and Sarah MacLean.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gail Johnson-Murdock officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Merigomish at a later date.
