Wanda Gail McLeod, age 58, of Porter’s Lane, Westville, passed away March 2, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Roy “Sparky” Stewart, Northumberland Veteran’s Wing, Pictou and the late Marion (Reynolds) Stewart.
Wanda had been a long-time resident of Westville. She had worked for 12 years at Central Nova Motors in New Glasgow. Wanda was a member of the Westville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she was past president.
She is survived by her father Roy “Sparky” Stewart, Northumberland Veteran’s Wing, Pictou; husband Joe, Westville; daughter Jo-Anne (Aaron) Ferguson, Westville; very very special grandson Andrew Ferguson; sister Marsha (Jerry) Hayman, Westville; mother and father-in-law Gordon and Stella McLeod, Westville; sister and brother- in-law Gail and Bryce Copp, Westville; nephews B.J. Copp and Kenny Hayman, niece Crystal Lynch.
She was predeceased by her mother Marion (Reynolds) Stewart and a nephew Todd Hayman.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
