ANNA M. JOHNSON March 14, 1921 to April 11, 2007 On April 11, 2007 Anna passed away peacefully at Overlander Extended Care Home at the age of 86. Anna Berild was born in Youngstown, Alberta then moved to Edmonton where she met the love of her life, Norman Johnson in 1956. They married and had 2 children (Garth and Ward) before moving to Fort St. John. Along with Norman's brother Floyd, they owned and ran the Travel Lodge there until moving to Kamloops in 1972. Anna was active with the Society for Community Living and kept score for many bowling games. She was also an avid painter and leaves behind many paintings to be cherished. Anna is predeceased by her husband Norman as well as sisters Alfrida and Berit and brothers John and Ollie. She is survived by her sons Garth (Julie) and Ward, sister Gladys Atkinson in Ontario, brother Chris Berild in Alberta, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at the Renaissance Retirement Center, Overlander Extended Care (Blueberry Lane) and Dr. Bantock for their support and caring. Services to be held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church (815 Renfrew) at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21st. Reception to follow at the family home.
