It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kathleen Winnifred Neal announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility on Tuesday March 6, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Left to celebrate her life her husband of 67 years, Ford, son Christopher of Corner Brook, daughter Eleanor (Chris) Jackson of St. John’s, grandchildren: Kathleen, Neal and Melissa Jackson (Tahmir El-Tahan), step-grandchildren: Jennifer, Mitchell and their mother Vicki, brother, Robert (Jean) White of Brampton, Ontario, brother-in-law, William Neal of St. John’s, sister-in-law Mary (Bob) Balint of Fonthill, Ontario, sister-in-law, Audrey White of Toronto, Ontario, and Beverly Neal of Corner Brook, NL, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. She is predeceased by her parents: Fredrick and Eleanor White, brother, Fredrick White, sister, Eleanor Crowle, Jean (Frank) Fearn, Fraser (Helen) Neal, Margaret Neal and George Neal. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Wednesday March 7, 2012 from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday March 8, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street on Friday March 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital or a charity of ones choice.
