Rose “Evelyn” (LaRusic) Lindsey
The family of the late Rose “Evelyn” (LaRusic) Lindsey extend our thanks and appreciation to everyone for the support and kindness shown to us during Evelyn’s declining health and at the time of her death. Thank you to the presiding clergy; Rev. Andrew Boyd, Rev. Tom MacNeil, Rev. Lazarus Guria, and Rev. Gerald MacInnis for concelebrating the funeral Mass. Thank you to others who participated in the ceremony: the pallbearers, altar servers, readers, Margaret MacGregor MacDonald for music and song, and the Eucharistic ministers. It was a wonderful tribute to her life, talents, and her exemplary service to others as an administrator and volunteer. To the many medical, nursing and associated professions, and pastoral care providers, we are grateful for your collaboration, professional expertise, and your compassionate care and support. Thank you to Dr. John D. Chaisson, Dr. Leo Pereira, Dr. Muwaffaq Salameh, Dr. John Jensen, Dr. Ron MacCormick, Dr. Phillip Cooper, and specialists at QE11 Health Sciences Centre, Colchester Regional Hospital, and Cape Breton Regional Hospital for your professional collaboration and expertise.
We are grateful for the numerous nurses, as well as the pastoral care team of Rev. Neil McKenna, Catherine MacGillivray CSM., and other clergy, volunteers, and friends who cared for and supported Evelyn during her hospitalizations and at home. Thank you to the nurses in the emergency department, PCU, the Cancer and Supportive Care and Oncology units, and the VON for your care and assistance. Thank you to the CWL for prayers and organizing and hosting the reception following the funeral service. The family is appreciative of the many expressions of condolences and remembrances from family, friends, and Evelyn’s professional and volunteer colleagues who contacted us, sent flowers, Mass cards, gave memorial donations to charities, and sent gifts of food. Thank you to Joanne and Chuck Curry and the staff at Curry’s Funeral Home for your professionalism, guidance and support.
