MORGAN, GERALDINE ROSE - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Geraldine R. Morgan of Fredericton, NB on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 30, 1943 she was the daughter of the late J. Reid and Eva (Steeves) Morgan. Geraldine was a member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church her whole life and she involved herself in many of the church organizations. Over the years she taught Sunday School and the Pioneer Girls and she was a member of a small bible study group that made soup for the Soup Kitchen which she organized once a month. She also loved her career in Medical Records at the Stan Cassidy Centre earning her 35 year pin before retirement. She will be missed by her sister, Marjorie Hill (Ross) of San Ramon, California, US; niece, Rosalie Zablocki (Frank and their children Morgan, Katherine and Paul), nieces, Debbie Tombe (David) and Nancy Kardahl (Barry); nephews, Stephen Morgan and Terry Morgan; her special friends, Rebekah, Mary, Derrick and Cody as well as many other friends and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Donald Morgan and niece, Diane Hill.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York Street (458-9170) on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 3 to 7 pm. The funeral service will take place at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. A reception will follow at the Brunswick Street Baptist Church gymnasium. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes in Geraldine’s honor may be made to the Brunswick Street Baptist Church, the Stan Cassidy Centre or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
