CHAPMAN, MERIAM "TOOT" - Following a brief illness and with her loving family by her side, Meriam "Toot" Chapman of Kilburn passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2012. Meriam was born in Juniper, NB on June 11, 1932. She was the daughter of the late James and May (Rideout) Lewis. She leaves behind her husband Elmore Chapman; her daughters Kathrina Crawford (Neale) of Perth-Andover, Carolyn Giberson (Dale) of Kilburn, Susan Hargrove (Andy) of Kincardine, Betty Chapman (common-law Jim Dunlap); her son Harry Chapman (Noemi) of Kilburn; sisters Dorothy Broad of Saint John, Fern Rideout of Woodstock; her brother Eldon Lewis (Dianne) of Juniper; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her son Jack Chapman; sisters Inez Lennon, Kathleen MacDonald, and Judith Lewis; brothers Billy and Kenny Lewis.
The family is having an open house in her memory at her home, 59 Kilburn Road, Kilburn, NB all day Monday and Tuesday. Meriam will be resting at her home from 6 pm on Monday. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 1 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Erville Lennon and Rev. Duane Broad officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilburn Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kilburn Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
