It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of James Roy MacDonald, 59, on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Northside Community Guest Home. Jim was a former longtime resident of Georges River.
Born in North Sydney, Jim was the son of Dorothy Elizabeth (Harvey) MacDonald, a resident of the Northside Community Guest Home and the late Roy MacDonald. Jim was employed for a number of years at the Irving service station in North Sydney.
Besides his mother Dorothy, he is survived by his brother Emerson MacDonald, Halifax; and his two nieces and two grandnieces.
He was predeceased by his father Roy MacDonald.
There will be no visitation. A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
