It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vida Millicent Currie, age 93, from Miraquinn Hilltop Manor, Hickman's Harbour, formerly from Britannia, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on March 10, 2012. Predeceased by her parents,Allan and Mary Ivany; husband, Watkin; sons, Dave and Fenwick (Cassie) and daughter-in-law, Ena. Leaving to mourn are her sons, Mac and Wilfred (Madeline); grandchildren, Peter (Judy), Paul (Linda), Kim, Shawn (Lori), Adam, April, Jason (Penny) and Jamie; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Maxwell Ivany (Sadie) and William Ivany; sister-in-law, Marion Ivany; daughters-in-law, Wanda (Jim) and Jean (Ray); and many other relatives and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2 pm from the United Church, Britannia with interment following.
