Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on December 7, 2009, Arthur Reid, aged 82 years. Predeceased by brothers: Don and Joe and sisters: Myra, Allison, Maude, Susie and Eunice. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Elsie; two daughters: Sharon Nurse (Barry) and Lisa Butler (Noel); son Sean (Jocelyn); cherished grandchildren: Sarah and Laura Nurse, Reed and Aaron Butler, Philip and Charlotte Reid; sister Cavelle Temple; sisters and brothers-in-law; and a large number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Service 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from Topsail United Church. Interment to follow in Topsail United Church Cemetery.
