The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, of Clarence MacNeill of New Haven, age 73. Clarence was the beloved husband of Florence (nee Peters); father of Kathy Callaghan (Richard Gallant), Summerside, Davis (Cheryl), Long Creek, Eva MacNeill (Chris MacKinnon), Charlottetown, Flo Smith (Dale Shaw), O'Leary, and Robert (Wendy) Peters, North Granville; loving Grampie to Florence, Joey and Danya-Lea; Danny, Christina, Justin and Robert; and Heather, Bobby and Corey; and great-grandfather to eleven. Clarence is also survived by his sisters, Rosella (Wilfred) MacCormack; Daisy Stephenson and Janet (Steve) Stone; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Davis and Myrtle MacNeill; his daughter, Margaret Ann, who was killed in a highway accident at the age of 14; his sisters, Mary Smith and Theresa Swanson; and an infant brother, George. Resting at Central Queens Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will celebrated at Central Queen's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 25 at 3 p.m. Interment in Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
