With great love, unrelenting admiration and eternal memories, the children of Ellen are saddened to announce the death of their beloved Mother. Ellen passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan, on Monday, December 7, 2009, surrounded by her immediate family. Ellen was predeceased by her son, Terry; husband, Ted; sisters, Florence, Margret and Muriel; brothers, Bill, Earl and Cecil. Left to mourn are her sons, Darrel, (fiancée Janice Hamann), Randy (Donna), Kevin; daughter, Sheila (Brian) Korney; grandchildren, Sean (Lori) Korney, Tiffany Korney (Joey) McDonald, Tasha, Tina, Rachel, Michael, Andrea and great-granddaughter, Rhydell. Also mourning are Ellen’s sister, Agnes (Walter) Leisle; brother, Harry Wilson and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ellen was a spirited and feisty woman, with a love for life and the excitement therein. She attended yoga classes, spent the entire summer outdoors in her flower garden and rode her red scooter downtown and to the mall. She had a warm and loving heart, a bright smile and a cheery hello to all she knew and some she didn’t, but I am sure they wished they did. At Ellen’s request there will not be a formal funeral. An outdoor memorial service will be held when the flowers are in bloom and her spirit will be soaring. If you wish, you may make a donation, in her name, to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Celiac Association, organizations both close to her heart.
