The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, of Kay Doucette, formerly of Rustico, age 85.
Kay was the wife of the late Roland Doucette; loving mother of sons, Jim Doucette (Dori), Calgary; and Peter Hopper (Marg), Parry Sound; daughters, Janice Pineau (Wayne), Calgary; Michelle, Charlottetown; and Lorraine Fraser (Kevin), Rustico; and grandmother of Wesley (Karen), Matthew and Rosilee; Tyler, Paige and Bailey Doucette; Sarah and Becky Pineau and Kerri-Lynn Burns (Matt); and Alicia Fraser. Kay is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Doucette, and other relatives in P.E.I. and Belleville, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roland; her parents, Jack and Lillian Moreau; and her son, Mark, in May 2009.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, December 11, 2009, from 6:30-9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
