BELL On May 11, 2007 Mr. Fred Simpson Bell of Monte Creek passed away after a brave struggle with cancer at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his dear wife Claire; two brothers Dr. Doug (Marion) Bell of Lions Bay and Monte Bell (Suki) of Vermont; nephews Matthew (Satu) Bell, Julian and James Bell; nieces Diana Woodman, Cynthia Kirkham (Justine and Quinn), Krista (Brian) Kennedy (Brandon, Andrew, Christopher and Michael). Fred led a varied and interesting life, born in Vancouver, June 18, 1926; he graduated from UBC with a degree in Agriculture. He had many vocations from cowboy to teacher, with many adventures along his path. In his retirement Fred and Claire enjoyed their time at their property in Monte Creek. Claire would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to all of those who cared for Fred, during his illness and to all who have expressed condolences by phone, cards and visits.
