God reached down his hand,
And chose to lead you away,
For I am here without you,
It was one year ago today.

I went to bed that night,
Not knowing it was your time to go,
Now you soar with the angels above,
This I surely know.

You never said you were leaving,
You never said goodbye,
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows the reason why.

I don’t need a special day,
To have you in my mind,
The days I don’t think of you,
Are impossible to find.

Your presence is still felt,
In silence you show me the way,
My heart will always ache for you,
As I miss you more each day.

And when it’s time for me to go,
I know you will be there,
Smiling and waiting,
To be together again,
