Blair, Betty Jean (nee Smith), 79, of Mississauga, ON, and formerly of Truro, passed away peacefully March 13, 2012 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, ON. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Robert James “Ike” and Helen “Nellie” Smith.
She is survived by daughters, Peggy Blair of Burlington, ON, Phyllis Strong (Erin) of Mississauga, ON; grandchildren, Garret, Evan and Cody; stepbrother Ronald V MacKay, nieces and nephews all of Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Eric Blair (1974); brother Robert “Bob” Smith (1992); stepmother Laurren E. (MacKay) Smith (1992).
A graveside service was held on Saturday March 17, 2012 in the St. John’s Dixie Cemetery Mississauga. Special thanks to the entire staff of 6J at the Trillium Health Centre for their care and compassion.
