March 21, 1921 - March 16, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bertha Lorraine Nelson with her family by her side.

Bertha was predeceased by her husband Jim, son Ken, sister Freda, brother Bill and her great grandson Colton.

She is survived by her children Noreen (George), Pat (Leta), Dan (Wanda) and Kandi (Dwight); thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings Frank (Ester), Riley (Millie), Helen, Royden and Winnie as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Bertha was born in Didsbury, Alberta. She lived at the Renaissance Retirement Residence for five years then at Ponderosa Lodge for a short stay. Thanks to all the caring staff at the Renaissance and Ponderosa Lodge. Her final days were at Royal Inland Hospital. Our family would like to thank Dr. Waller for his care and concern.

A Celebration of Berthaís life will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrews on the Square, 159 Seymour Street.
