BROWN, DONALD - With sadness and regrets we announce the passing of Donald Robert Brown. Donald passed away peacefully March 19 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer, Donald was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Friend. Don was born in Fredericton New Brunswick on July 3rd 1944. The majority of his career was in the Alberta Oil Sands. He was a Honorable man, a Leader, a Friend, a Volunteer, and a Mentor to all. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his Loving Wife of 48 years Joan, sons Jason, Gary (Geraldine), grandchildren Hadyn, Karlie, Stephanie, Jeffrey and Ian, sister Margo Ellegood (Paul), brothers Ronald Brown (Helen), Errol Brown (Rena) and numerous nephews and nieces. Exceptional host Father to Sylvie, Jessica, Justin, Christian, Eve, Koto, from around the world. Predeceased by Mother Blanche Kathleen (Dobson) Brown and Father Robert Orland Brown.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Institute would be appreciated. Service will be held at the Unitarian Church of Calgary, 1703-1st Street Calgary on March 24th at 11:00, Light lunch to follow.
