LÉGER, LÉONIDE - Léonide Léger 92, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on June 20, 1919 in Sainte-Marie, he was the son of the late Philippe and Elise (Melanson) Léger. He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Kallenberg (John) of New Hampshire; one son, Raymond of New Hampshire; two grandchildren: Dawn and Scott, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita (2011), five sisters: Jeannine, Marie, Anita, Emma and Odila and eight brothers: Léo, Néri, Zoël, Antoine, Augustin, Emile, Paul and Yvon.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology) in Léonide’s memory would be appreciated.
