It with sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine Ings, 86, of Birch Grove. Josephine passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, where she had been a resident for the past several years.
Born in France, Josephine was the daughter of the late Germaine (LeCreux) and Henry Louis Dupont. Josephine was a member of St. Anthony’s Church, Glace Bay.
Josephine will be sadly missed by cousins, especially, Louis (Rodena) LeCreux, Glace Bay. Staff and residents of Harbourstone Enchanced Care will also miss Josephine.
Josephine was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Henry.
Visitation for Josephine will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Josephine memory may be made to a charity of choice.
