It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Miller on December 9, 2009, after a short illness. Lois was born in Loon Lake, SK on November 29, 1934 to Carl and Bertha (nee Lewis) Bowler. She was the youngest of 6 children and was raised on the family farm. Mom took her elementary school education in Loon Lake and her high school in Meadow Lake where she met the love of her life, Bill Miller, whom she married on October 31, 1953. Upon marriage, Bill and Lois moved to North Battleford where they lived until 1966, at which time they relocated their family to Prince Albert where they resided until her passing. Lois is survived by her husband of 56 years Bill, one daughter Shannon, four sons Kelly (Susi), Randy (Vicki), Kim (Sherry), all of Prince Albert and Clare (Annie) of Stettler, AB; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; her brother Warren (Marion) Bowler of Kelowna, BC; her sister Jeanne (Matt) Sitter of North Battleford, SK; her sister-in-law Myrtle (Peter) Krawece of Red Deer, AB; her brother-in-law Clifford of Meadow Lake, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Bertha Lewis; her mother and father-in-law Art and Emily Miller; her brother Ken; her sisters Marjorie and Esther; as well as her brother-in-law Jim. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Chemotherapy Unit of the Victoria Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
