BALFOUR - Michelle 1964 - 2007 Our beloved Michelle tragically passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007. She has left behind, her husband Bob Dawe; sons Liam, Brendan and daughter Kristen; mother Marg Balfour and brothers Pat (Marilyn), Mike (Heike), Terry (Maria) and Tim (Jane), and Bob's family, mother Betty; Lauren (Phil), Linda (Fred), Neil (Isabel). She was predeceased by her father Ron. In addition, a host of loving extended family members, close friends and community will be deeply impacted by her absence as well. Michelle was born in Chilliwack, B.C. She chose a profession in nursing and graduated with honours from Cariboo College. Her colleagues and patients would surely agree that Michelle embodied the unsurpassed combination of competence and compassion that made her shine in her chosen profession. As part of the I.C.U. Team at Calgary General Hospital, Michelle was able to not only treat patients and their families according to protocol but made an impression on them during their lasting days. This caring and compassionate nature also carried over into Michelle's personal life. Deeply involved in her family and community's life, Michelle was a constant presence at many events and functions. As a hockey mom extraordinaire her cheery voice could be heard yelling "Go Mustangs" at many games. As a loving wife and partner to Bob, Michelle contributed greatly to her husband's successful career. To her friends and community, Michelle was the centrifugal force that bonded everyone together. Daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend, Michelle will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She was deeply faithful to God and we know she is in the hands of Jesus. It is comforting to all of us that she is with her father Ron. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayer Services at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 640 - 19 Avenue N.W., Calgary on Friday, June 29, 2007 at 7:00 P.M.
