Cecilia M. MacIsaac, 95, of Cheticamp formerly of Alexandra Street, Sydney passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, in the Foyer Pere Fiset, Cheticamp, were she resided.
Born in Portage, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Anne Gillis.
Cecelia was a member of St. Anthony Daniel parish and a member of the CWL for 46 yrs. She was the house mother at St. Rita’s School of Nursing for many years. She will be sadly missed by all who new her.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Eisenhauer, Nictaux, N.S., Heather (John) LeBlanc, Cheticamp; and a son, Rodger (Karen), Amherst, N.S.; grandchildren, Wayne (Sheri) Mansfield, Jeffery (Kari) MacIsaac, Sean MacIsaac, Michael MacIsaac, Kelsey MacIsaac and Sandra (Stev) Webster; great-grandchildren, Alex and Bayleigh Mansfield and Sam Webster.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alex, son-in-law, Loyd Eisenhauer, brothers, John and Angus, sisters, Sady Rogers, Florence Gillis and Mary Gillis.
Visitation for Cecilia will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney, 539-3002. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Daniel Church, Sydney, with Fr. Donald MacGillvray officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
