RICHARD, KATHLEEN “PAM” - Mrs. Kathleen (Pam) Richard, wife of the late John Richard of Miramichi, New Brunswick passed away at Region Number 7 Hospital on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012. Born in Miramichi, NB on October 12, 1923. Pam is survived by her only child, Lisa Richard, of Miramichi, and her sister, Mary Alma Losier, CND, of Mabou, NS. Besides her husband Pam was predeceased by her parents Dr. Arthur J. Losier and Mary Clarissa (Barry) Losier, two brothers, Dr. Percy Losier and Dr. Barry Losier and 4 sisters, Carmel Losier, CND, Heloise Hogan, Marie Losier and Norma Carten. Pam earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics from St. Francis Xavier University in 1944. Pam was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women’s League since 1953 and she was awarded the Maple Leaf Service Pin for her outstanding years of service throughout the years, Pam was involved in Red Cross Fundraising. She was Treasurer of the Miramichi Historical Society and Treasurer of the Miramichi Natural History Association. Pam served as Secretary of St. Michael’s Museum Association and was member of The Ladies Auxiliary at Mount St. Joseph.
Kathleen (Pam) Losier will be resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB on Friday, March 30th, 2012 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11am from St. Michael’s Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi SPCA or the memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
