VALERIE DALE MORGAN 1950 - 2007 It is with pain and great sadness the family of Valerie announces her sudden passing on July 4th, 2007. She was a special wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Valerie was raised on Medicine Flats in Hat Creek where she continued to reside up until her passing. Valerie is survived by her loving and supportive husband Chief Mike Retasket of 15 years and her son Brandon and also her pride and joy; her grandchildren Brandi and Paul. She leaves to mourn her passing her sisters Junis, Vera, Cookie, Flora, Karen and Roberta. Her brothers Bill, Terry, Dean and Jim as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Valerie was predeceased by her parents, Emily and Felix, brothers Robert and Stewart and sisters Yvoone, Bernice and Matilda. Throughout the years Val traveled globally and locally, she was always on the road visiting with family and friends. Val also enjoyed picking berries and gardening. More importantly, Val with husband Mike, enjoyed hosting family dinners and supporting our gambling addictions with crib and card nights that went into the wee hours of the morning. Val took over Mother's role after her passing and had a open door policy and welcomed everyone into her home and offered food, shelter and a strong shoulder to lean on, The family would like to extend an invitation for you to attend the wake on Friday evening and her "Celebration of Life" on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Homestead in Hat Creek on Lillooet-Cache Creek Hwy.
