Robert ‘Bobby’ W. Morrison, 51, Cole Harbour. It is with much sorrow, we remember a devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, who passed away quietly Dec. 13, 2009, in the VG Site palliative care unit, QEII, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Frank and Isabella (Steele) Morrison.
Bob was an avid sports fan with a passion for collecting. He had a special interest in the Cardinals and Maple Leafs. He loved to read and play computer games.
He attended Morrison Glace Bay High School then attended the College of Cape Breton.
Bob was an devoted employee with Nova Scotia Power for 30 years.
He is survived by wife, Pamela; stepdaughter, Brandie (Corey) Allison, Dartmouth; stepson, Christopher, Calgary; mother, Isabella Morrison, Glace Bay; brothers, Ted (Mary) Morrison, Glace Bay; Gilbert (Rita) Morrison, Trail, B.C.; Tom Morrison, Milford; Tim Morrison, Glace Bay; his beloved grandson, Jesse; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by father, Frank and stepdaughter, Shannon Ferguson.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where visitation will be held 6-9 p.m., Tuesday. Funeral service 11 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow.
Donations in memory may be made to palliative care, VON, or any other cancer-related organizations.
