Léona Allain
ALLAIN, LÉONA - 1926-2012 - Léona Allain, 85, of Foyer Jean-Marie Allain, Bouctouche and formerly of Saint-Grégoire passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Foyer on Monday, April 2, 2012. She was married to the late Edouard G Allain (1999). Born in Bouctouche on November 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thaddée and the late Amanda (Pellerin) Bourque. Léona was an avid bingo player and quilt maker. She will be sadly missed by her eight children; Doris Richard of Waltham Ma, Elodie Bastarache (Gilles) of Cocagne, Marie-Reine Eagles (Harold), Elise Landry (Roger) both of Bouctouche, Jeannette Bastarache (Ricky) of Moncton, Gérard (Alvina) of Richiboucto-Village, Aldéric (Diane) of Bouctouche, Charles (Kathy) of Moncton, her eighteen grandchildren and her twenty great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sister Sr Nélida Bourque ndsc of Moncton, a daughter-in-law Patti of New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews. Léona was predeceased by one son Alvin (1977), two sisters; Edmée and Florine and three brothers; Gérard, Aldéric and Edgar.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 7 to 9, and on Wednesday from 9 to 10:45am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, April 4th, 2012 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Léona's memory donations to the Red Cross or to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
