BOWERS On Tuesday, July 10th, 2007, Mrs. Florence Bowers, much loved mother, grandmother and friend passed away. Mom's proudest accomplishment was being a wife and mother and she did both with such joy. She loved nothing better than a crowd to feed and love. Flo was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter # 16 and always enjoyed the activities and companionship of the many girls she met over the years. Mom worked at The Bay for many years and still met with her former workmates who had become her friends. Florence was predeceased by her husband Eric on April 17, 2007. Mom is lovingly remembered by her three kids; Nancy (Al) Baker, Alan (Robbie) and Brent (Janet); her grandchildren Melissa and Cody Baker, Keith, Gary, Pamela, Sarah, Trevor and Colleen Bowers. A Celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Cathedral, 360 Nicola Street with The Very Reverend Louise Peters officiating. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire donations may be made in Flo's memory to a charity of your choice.
