PODORIESZACH 1913 - 2007 Onelio Podorieszach of Kamloops, B.C., passed away peacefully on July 12th, at the age of 93. He will be lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Mafalda Podorieszach and nephews' families: Primo (Eileen, Bryce & Aaron) of Kamloops, Peter (Shelley, Brandon & Cara) of Calgary and John (Sue, Michelle & Sarah) of Calgary; by his brother's family, Valentino (Augustina) Podorieszach, of Kamloops and many dear friends and relatives. Onelio was born September 17, 1913 in Italy. He is predeceased by parents Maria and Andrea, sister Maria, and brothers Agostino and Giuseppe. After immigrating to Canada, he was employed by Canadian National Railway, retiring in 1979, after many years of service. In Canada, he lived with Mafalda and Giuseppe Podorieszach, as he never married. He spent most of his leisure time doing what he loved the most, fishing. He dabbled in the garden and cared for the family grapes. Onelio liked to pass the time playing many spirited games of cards. Onelio also loved to hand out candy to all his nieces and nephews that regularly visited him. Prayer Service will be held on Monday, July 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 635 Tranquille Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the church on Tuesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. Father Peter Nguyen Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. You are welcome to join family for food and refreshments at the church hall, following interment. Special thanks to Gwen & Lawrence Thalheimer for the many trips to the doctors in recent years.
