TED WHITTAKER 1947 ~ 2007 Edward "Ted" Joseph Whittaker of Harris, Saskatchewan passed away on July 23, 2007 at 59 years of age. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shelley, daughters Tara Lee (Lee Pearce) Whittaker of Harris, SK, and Jade (Jon McKay) Whittaker of Beaverlodge, Alberta; grandchildren Ophelia, Anna, Zethryn, and Xzander, his brothers Ronald, Gary, and Gordon Whittaker, his parents Joseph and Melva Whittaker, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Ted was born in Newmarket, Ontario on October 7, 1947. When he was 16 he travelled across Canada and settled in the Kamloops area, where he worked for the next seven years. Ted then worked for the next 30 years as a helilogger for Fedje & Gunderson out of Nanaimo. In 2001, Ted began farming with his daughter and son-in-law in Harris, Saskatchewan. He died unexpectedly while visiting family and friends in Pritchard, BC. Forever Loved A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M., in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home.
