Louis Roka Mr. Louis Roka passed away at his residence in Revelstoke on Thursday, July 26th, 2007 at the age of 71 years. A Funeral Service will be held from the Chapel of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke on Thursday afternoon, August 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Ken Jones officiating. Interment will follow on Friday morning, August 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops. Flowers are acceptable. Louis was born in Hungary on November 13, 1935 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for the past 35 years. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Louis was a wonderful cook who enjoyed cooking and even did his own canning. He also enjoyed spending time with his good friends. Louis was predeceased by his parents and his son Paul in 1983. He is survived by Margaret Roka of Kamloops; one son Louis (Charlene) Roka of Kamloops; one daughter Linda Hanson of Kamloops; seven grandchildren: Austin, Rachelle, Chantelle, Jeff, Jason, Jamie and Janelle; one sister in Hungary as well as a host of good friends. Arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
