At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Friday Aug. 8, 2008, of William E. Pickering Sr. of Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, and formerly of Sea View, aged 90 years. Born in Sea View on March 1, 1918, son of the late Stanford and Lulu (Ramsay) Pickering. Husband of the late A. Wilma (Ramsay) Pickering. Father of Ethel (Allen) Flemming, Sackville, N.B.; Marcia (Garth) Graham, Darnley; William (Billy), (Tammy) Pickering JR., Sea View and Wendy Pickering, Wedgewood Manor, Summerside. Grandfather of Sara, Karen and Matthew Flemming, Erica, Brittany, Angelica and Michael Graham, Ryan and Brad Pickering, Kerry (Kevin) Gallant and great grandfather of Blake Gallant. Brother of Laura (Albert) MacNutt, Vancouver, B.C. Brother-in-law of Edythe Pickering, Sea View. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Roland and Hazen Pickering, sisters Margaret (late Lorning) Rayner Sr. and Lillian Pickering. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment in the Mount Royal Cemetery.
