On August 2, 2007, Mr. Michel Peragine of Kamloops passed away at the age of 79 years. Michel is survived by his loving wife Laura, one son Rocco (Mary) of Burnaby, three daughters Annette (Marvin) Hoshowski of Salmon Arm, Sandra (Kevin) Simpson of Kamloops and Dina (Terry) Johnson of Marysville, Washington, and nine grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory his step-mother Anna Peragine, three sisters, Antonia, Giovanna and Angelina, four brothers Danny, Joe, Ralph and Nicol, and numerous other family members. Michel was born in Grumo, Apula, Italy on September 17, 1927. He came to Canada, to North Vancouver, in 1959. In 1975, the family came to Kamloops. Michel retired from the City of Kamloops Cemetery Department in 1986. Although a man of limited education, Pa was a poster child for the virtues of loyalty, respect and hard work. Unfailingly polite and a fierce defender of his family, he instilled in his children and grandchildren the Value of family.
