Passed away at his home after a lengthy illness, Ed Long, at 68 years of age. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Theresa, brother Frank and sister Elizabeth (Ennis). Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 47 years, Sylvia (Maher), sons Darrell (Jennifer) and Scott (Donna); daughter Tina (Jim) and grandchildren Brittany, Nicole, Joey, Emily, Maria and Patrick. Also leaving to mourn his sisters Jane Edgar, Rosemary Breen (Pat), Georgina (friend Dolores Flynn), brother Paul (Marilyn), sisters-in-law Cheryl Browne (Jim) and Isabelle (Bub - deceased), brother-in-law Paul Ennis, and so many loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Also leaving to mourn, his angels of mercy and friends at the Dialysis Unit of the Waterford Hospital Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. Visitation on Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will take place from Holy Family Parish on Friday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Dialysis Unit.
