Arthur S. MacKay
NEW GLASGOW – The death occurred suddenly at the Glen Haven Manor on Sunday, December 13, 2009, of Arthur MacKay, age 85 years.
Born in Scotsburn, NS, he was the only child of George and Florence (Sillars) MacKay.
He is survived by his children: Rhoda (Dave) Speare, Charlottetown, PEI; Gregg (Hitomi) MacKay, Oita, Japan; and Glenn MacKay, Halifax, NS; and by his grandchildren: Thomas and Rachael Speare and Angelina and Kiona MacKay.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rhoda.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17 from the MacQuarrie Funeral Home in Stellarton at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating, with visitation from 1-2 p.m., preceding the service. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery.
